When instruments come from a factory, they are often not 100% ready for playing. Frank consults with Sydney's finest music tutors to ensure that he only supplies and chooses the best instruments at every price range from student to intermediate and professional. Before an instrument is chosen to be listed on Value Music the following inspections are carried out.

• visual inspections for blemishes, dents or scratches
• rod and screw tensions are checked
• pads are checked for leaks
• spring tensions are checked
• regulating, adjusting and oiling of mechanisms is inspected
• cork joints visually inspected
• test played to approve the instrument brand and model for listing
